Cultural Production
DJ Ushka is a Sri-Lankan born DJ and an immigrant rights activist. She’s also a cultural organizer and works with Dutty Artz to create “sonic cultural production.” She uses her platform to connect cultural and social issues she’s passionate about with her community through music and events. Ushka calls it “community building” and “organizing,” while ensuring that different communities, whether LGBT folks or marginalized people, have a space to celebrate.
